Making the most out of your space should always be a stylish endeavor, this time a custom built sofa was in order. This dual functioning office and guest bedroom in Palm Beach called out for an eye catching Plum color.
Cindy Ray Interiors created a unique sleeper sofa, allowing the client to select from a variety of styles, fabrics, and shades of color while complementing the custom designed, built-in bookcases in this warm contemporary room.
This living space required some finesse as this space was originally closed off to the living room due to the large white bookcases shown in the image below. Removing the bookcases helped create a “great room” effect, combining the two rooms together. We custom designed wood and antiqued mirror sliding pocket doors that can be closed whenever guest room privacy is needed.
To compliment the guest room as a functional workspace, we designed a built-in desk and storage area. Cabinetry made from Douglas Fir was designed and crafted into a custom wall unit that also contains file storage.
Using accents of plum and lavender throughout the apartment, the Plum Sofa and built-in shelving surround provide this living space with a visual impact and allow flow and function throughout the entire living space.
The Plum Sofa image has been the subject of many comments and questions on Houzz.com, one of the leading platforms for designers, remodeling professionals, and creatives to publish and share their work.
